Downhill Inline Racing Just as skateboards were invented to simulate surfing on pavement, Inline Skates were developed for "ice skating" on the street. And for as long as the "Rollerblade" urethane wheeled skate existed there have been those who will race with them downhill at very high speeds. The Downhill Inline Skate typically features a longer "blade" and larger, softer urethane wheels. Mastering skills like balancing at high speed, drafting and effective braking are all required to race Inline Skate Downhill safely.

I know very little about the Downhill Inline Skate scene. What I do know is it's popularity has declined quite a bit over the last 10 years in the USA. Gravity Sport University would like to change that by learning more about this sport and bringing that knowledge to you. If you are into Downhill Inline, let us know, share your stoke, let us follow you downhill with a camera.
